The Agra Cuff is made up of 3 coins. Two 25 Paise from 1965 and the protagonist, a 1 Rupee from 1956. After becoming a republic in 1950, the country's currencies changed; the images of the British kings were replaced by the Lion of Sarnath. The reverse of the 1 Rupee coin features two ears of corn as a symbol of progress and prosperity.
